  1. The NEW command allows you to get a listing of "new" files since the last
  2. time you logged on, or since any specified date.
  3.      To use the New command, answer the prompt with the desired target date.
  4. The date shown in brackets, which is the date you last logged on, is used
  5. as the default date if you press RETURN. A second prompt appears, "Scan all
  6. directories (Y/N)"- if you enter Y, all directories will be searched for
  7. new files, otherwise only the current directory is searched.
  8.      Dates are entered in the form month-day-year. You can use dashes,
  9. slashes, or any nonnumeric seperators. If you don't include the year (eg.
  10. "9/21"), it defaults to the current year.
  11.      The new file listing appears in reverse date-sorted order. It is often
  12. useful to run the NEW command with a very early target date, as this gives
  13. you a chronological file listing rather than an alphabetical listing as
  14. with the FILES command.
